Moral Differences and Double Standards
Let me paint you a picture.
The Israeli Prime Minister suspends all elections, decrees ten years of unquestioned and personal fiefdom, stashes millinos of dollars funded by the EU and others in overseas accounts, keeps his family in Parisian luxury while his people starve, yet prevents all investigations into fiscal impropriety.
Rabbis preach public sermons which characterise Palestinians as pigs and monkeys, and incite their congregants to go out and murder Arabs.
Israeli school textbooks state that Arabs engage in blood sacrifice and ritual murder.
Mainstream Israeli politicians call for the destruction of Palestinians and an end to Arab society there.
Israeli TV glorifies Jewish suicide bombers who have slaughtered hundreds of Arabs.
All Israeli media is strictly censored.
Israeli militants are sent into Palestinian territory with the deliberate intent of blowing up and killing Arab women and children.
Teenage Israeli children are arrested with explosive belts under their shirts while on their way to murder Palestinian families.
Israeli fanatics rush onto the street to dip their hands in the blood of dead Palestinians, chanting mass murder to Arabs.
Likud members lynch and summarily execute their opponents.
Jewish fundamentalists execute women guilty of adultery with impunity on the grounds that these are honor killings.
Israeli mobs tear apart Palestinian policemen held in detention.
Jewish demonstrators parade in the streets with their small children dressed up as suicide bombers.
The USA offers $25,000 bounties for every Palestinian blown up by Israeli terrorists.
Israeli terrorists murder a Jew by mistake and the Israeli Prime Minister apologises on the grounds that the Jewish terrorists thought their target was an Arab.
Jews enter Arab villages and gun down women and children in their homes.
Israeli public figures routinely threaten the US with terror attacks.
Osama Bin Laden is a folk hero in Tel Aviv.
Jewish assassins murder American diplomats, and are given sactuary by Israeli society.
Israeli citizens celebrate the news that 3000 Americans were murdered by Jewish terrorists.
Israelis execute, or attempt to carry out, over 30,000 terror attacks against Palestinians in three years.
Yet, EU and British MPs still make support visits to Israel and publicly express, in Parliament and the media, their sympathy and understanding for Jewish suicide bombers.
Israel objects to the UN when Palestinians attempt to construct an anti-terror barrier to prevent Jews from killing Arabs.
Israeli protests to the UN receives majority support.
I hope this picture helps you to more clearly define the moral differences and double standards of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

I feel even more desperate when I read something like this that shows how obvious it ought to be for all to see. I feel like weeping with despair. It brings me back to the film "The Pianist" that made me howl, not because the pianist actually did anything for anybody, but it illustrated how the holocaust happened under the noses of those who would not see, but here we are in 2004 and it is happening all over again and we Jews who can see it remain paralysed to be effective in changing anything. This is what I wrote nearly three years ago and nothing has improved since then!!!
1. what’s happening here
what I don’t understand
is a matter of simple deduction
if one equals one
and the sum makes up two
then why is there all this destruction
what’s happening here
what I just cannot fathom
is a matter of grass root reaction
if two take to tango
and they both dance in step
then why is there jarred syncopation
what’s happening here
what doesn’t make sense
is a matter of some generation
if lessons aren’t learnt
and they all shut their minds
then where will we find a connection
what’s happening here
what some will not hear
is a matter of queried evasion
if peers cannot listen
and the roots rot the cause
then where is the real correlation
what’s happening here
what looks upside down
is a matter of transverse decision
if right becomes wrong
and the wronged are not free
then what’s left of a strong foundation
what’s happening here
what never seems right
is a matter of skilled persuasion
if most remain quiet
and the rest do not care
then what’s left will cause an erosion
what’s happening here
what appears the real plot
is a matter of joint collusion
if right equals wrong
and they each don’t respond
then the outcome is sadly contrition
what’s happening here
what feels a missed point
is a matter of long division
if right hooks a left
and the left headlock’s wrong
then the outcome is choked expiration
2. what’s happening here?
does anyone know?
is there somebody there?
who can run the show?

It is all so perfect; this one being no exception.
